DESIGN COMMUNICATIONS

Design Communication (DCOM) introduces fundamental skills for the appropriate communication of architectural design. It engages different means of visualization and expression of space and spatial ideas through architectural drawings to prepare students with the skills required in design projects.
SELF-REFLECTION
Through this module, I was able to gain skills that enabled me to produce technical drawings that I never thought that I could draw. The module was a challenge to me as I am not very skilled in drawing, but with the guidance of my tutor and my friends, I was ultimately able to pull through. This module also enabled me to produce drawings that followed proper industrial standards for my final project.
LEARNING EXPERIENCE
For this semester our classes were conducted in a hybrid manner. The balance of having lectures online and tutorials physically allowed me to experience the best of both worlds. The physical tutorials made it easier for my tutor to guide me, while the online lectures enabled us to minimize our risk of contracting Covid-19. Our module coordinator Dr Filzani Illia also made tutorials a fun and enjoyable time, with her in class activities. It always had me looking forward to tutorials especially when we had been having a stressful week. The fun and relax tutorials gave me a well needed break from stressful projects .Having pre-recorded lectures also allowed me to look back at the lecture when I forget something.
